Michael C. Welch Fine Art ~
Original Art Work

I believe that the reason for painting (or drawing or sculpting) is embedded in the works themselves. If I knew why, in words, I probably would not have to paint.
—Michael Welch
A Maine native, Michael paints his regular haunts at Biddeford Pool, Fuller Farm in Scarborough, Evans Notch, and the Saco River. This series embodies his fascination with the interaction of color and how it relates to these Maine places.
